A Mouse Deer's Tricks to the Cat
One day, a mouse deer, which was named as Sang Kancil, accidentally kicked a scarecrow. Its foot was stuck in the scarecrow's body, which was covered with sticky sap. When it was trying to pull its foot, a farmer appeared suddenly. He caught Sang Kancil and put it in a coop. The farmer planned to cook Sang Kancil for dinner.
The farmer's cat laughed at Sang Kancil. Sang Kancil said, 'I'm just resting here, the farmer is cooking a meal for me.' The cat was angry because the farmer had never cooked her a meal. The cat told Sang Kancil to exchange its role with her. Sang Kancil agreed and quickly ran into the forest. Finally, the cat was punished by the farmer.
This story unveils a moral value of not being greedy at all times or be ready to face the consequences.
